We started collecting bonsai in Australia in 2013 at Wagga Wagga, NSW. Prior to that, my Uncle from the Philippines introduced me to Bonsai in 2008 and taught me the basics. I didn't spend much time on it because I was into collecting Nishikigoi or commonly called as Japanese Koi and other Exotic Asian Fishes. I moved to Australia in 2009 and decided to start my own bonsai collection in 2013. Over the span of 10 years, we were able to have this beautiful Bonsai Collection. We hope you enjoy this Gallery of our bonsai collection.

Trident Maple

This is Trident Maple is estimated around 38years old. We acquired this tree from Neil in 2013. This was grown from seed and was field grown for a number of years before it was trained into a bonsai. In 2019, this Trident Maple was accepted and displayed in the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia in Canberra for 3 years. It was returned to us in Autumn of 2022, just right in time for us to move to Queensland.

This Maple was displayed multiple times in Bonsai Exhibitions:

2015 & 2017 Wagga Wagga Bonsai Society Exhibition

2019 - 2022 National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia in Canberra, ACT

2022 Sunshine Coast Bonsai Society Exhibition.

It is currently potted in a Koyo (Tokoname) bonsai pot from Japan.

Shimpaku Juniper

This Juniper was grown from a cutting in 2014. It spent 4 years growing in the ground. It was dug in 2020 and it started its training to become a bonsai since then. We were invited to display our bonsai in 2022 Wagga Wagga Bonsai Show and we had this one displayed.

It is currently potted in a Pat Kennedy Bonsai Pot.

Shimpaku Juniper

This Juniper was grown from a cutting in 2014. It spent 4 years growing in the ground. It was dug in 2020 and potted straight to a bonsai pot. It had its first in November 2020 and overtime the design was changed. This Shohin Shimpaku was displayed during the 2022 Sunshine Coast Bonsai Society Exhibition.

It is currently sitting on a Pat Kennedy Bonsai Pot.

Japanese Black Pine

This Japanese Black Pine is estimated to be around 40years old. It was ground grown for a number of years and we got this black pine in 2019 from Sydney. That year we had the opportunity to bring this tree in the World Bonsai Masters workshop with Mr. Kobayashi, owner of Shunka-en Bonsai Museum in Japan. This black pine was designed by him during the workshop and we will continue to keep this style. The history of this tree will be forever link to him and it is a rare opportunity to have him come over here in Australia.

Shohin Bonsai

Moving forward, we would be growing and specialising in Shohin size bonsai especially as we age, we would like to move our trees conveniently from one place to another without hurting our back. They are also more cost-effective and it is more achievable to have a nice tree in a short amount of time.

We will to continue to import more Quality Tokoname Japanese Pots here in Australia and at the same time support our local Bonsai potters.

Trident Maple

This is the largest Trident Maple in our collection. It is estimated to be around 40years old. This Bonsai was displayed in the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia in Canberra for a number of years prior to acquiring this tree in 2022. We had the privilege to purchase this tree from the previous owner and we didn't hesitate to add this Trident Maple to our collection.
